Emergency Psychiatry Service

The Emergency Psychiatry service at Upstate University's Downtown Campus has a team of board certified physicians and licensed nurse practitioners who see patients who present to the Emergency Room with acute psychiatric complaints. Additionally, this is a training site for medical students, residents, and NP fellows. We are serving both adult and pediatric Emergency Rooms.

Although complete, the type of evaluations performed are focused, related to the acute presenting issue.

We do not provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation or care, we do not perform psychological testing, and we do not provide second opinions in the Emergency Room setting.
